Collygen is the new absorbable membrane for the protection of the implantation site by soft tissue infltration. It is made from highly pure type I atelocollagen of equine origin. It can be easily placed in site after bone grafting, without any fixation.
Collygen 3D structure effectively adapts to bone graft surface ensuring optimal protection of the implantation site. It is then physiologically absorbed in about 4-6 weeks. Collygen membranes are available in a wide range of different formats, in single and multiple packaging.
Collygen GCR is also indicated for orthopaedics procedures, i.e., as a biological barrier to retains, stabilizes, and structures the clot induced by AMIC (Autologous Matrix-Induced Chondrogenesis) technique.
